Finishing and Binding

We offer a wide range of print finishing and binding options to give a professional image to your printed document. If you are unsure as to which operation would be the most appropriate for your particular job please ring on xtn 7385 for advice.

Binding

Documents can be bound in a number of ways, depending on the purpose and shelf-life of the document.

Illustration Description Availability and Uses
Thermal Tape Bind
Illustration.
Heat sealed adhesive tape in black. Pages glued in during copying process. Permanent; minimum 20 A4 sheets, maximum 125 A4 sheets.
Plastic Comb Bind
Illustration.
Plastic comb binding. Holes punched down head/spine and comb inserted. Various sizes. Price varies according to page count. Clear Plastic covers can be inserted for additional charge.
Wire Bind
Illustration.
Wire-o binding. Holes punched down head/spine and wire inserted. Permanent. More resilient than comb but more expensive. Opens to lay flat. Clear Plastic covers can be inserted for an additional charge.
Fastback Bind
Illustration.
Heat sealed. Cover with adhesive strip heated and pages inserted. Acetate front and card back. Similar to thermal tape but with more size and colour choice. Please ring for current colours available.
Perfect Bind
Illustration.
Pages glued on edge and placed into a cover (paperback book style). Permanent, not more than 250/300 pages 80gsm. Not suitable for less than 100 pages. Can be combined with full colour cover.

Laminating

We can laminate A4 (210mm x 297mm) documents Laminating will protect documents, posters, signs, etc. and give a durable finish.

Padding

Tear off pads with glued sheets generally at head (or spine).

Drilling

Holes can be drilled according to the ring binder to be used up to 5 holes.

Folding & Stapling

Documents can be folded and/or stapled in a number of ways:

DL fold.
DL fold
Single fold.
Single fold
Zig zag fold.
Zig zag fold

Stapling One or two stitches on side of flat sheets

Saddle Stitched Booklets

Folded sheets (A4 or A3) made into booklet form by stapling on the spine. Please note pages must be in multiples of 4.
