Image Considerations
As with any other high quality print medium, the lower the quality of your source image, the poorer the quality of your reproduction.
* ARTWORK IS TO BE SUPPLIED AS PDF *
Most common layout programs (QuarkXPress, InDesign, PageMaker) can be used to supply artwork as a PDF. Standard image file formats such as EPS, TIFF, JPEG, BMP, etc. are OK.
You can use CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yelllow & Black) or RGB (Red, Green & Blue) files – Microsoft Ofifice programs are RGB - our colour management software will convert RGB images into the CMYK mix required for digital reproduction – RGB are for viewing on screen and will not print as they look on your monitor. Ask for a proof before ordering.
In terms of image resolution, the same 300 dpi images used for offset are equally suitable for digital printing. As with any offset print run, images of lower resolution can be used, with a compromise in ultimate image quality. On the other hand, images with resolution greater than 600 dpi will only waste processing time and will not give you a better result. ( For further information on Xerox Digital Printing Click Here
